About Max Robinson
From Toronto Windsurfer to Pro Wing Foiler — and Now, Your Local Coach
Hey, I’m Max Robinson — a lifelong wind lover, water athlete, and coach from Toronto, Canada.
🌊 Where It All Started
My journey began when I first tried wind sports at 7 years old up on Georgian Bay. That early spark quickly turned into a full-on passion when I picked up a windsurfing rig on the shores of Lake Ontario. From chasing wind forecasts to competing in local events, I was hooked.
🪂 Evolving with the Wind
As the sport evolved, so did I. When wing foiling burst onto the scene, I jumped in with both feet. It brought together everything I loved — the glide of windsurfing, the excitement of planing, and the thrill of flying above the water. I eventually went pro, competing on the Wingfoil World Tour for several seasons and riding in some of the world’s most iconic locations.
🎯 Why I Coach
After years of competitive riding and progression, I’ve returned home to Toronto, eager to share my knowledge and experience with others. I’ve always been passionate about helping people find their flow on the water, and that passion led me to coaching. In addition to competing at the highest level, I served as the Head Coach and High Performance Youth Coach at the Toronto Windsurfing Club, where I worked with young athletes to help them reach their full potential.
Whether you're just starting out or looking to level up your skills, my coaching philosophy revolves around safety, progression, and having fun. I tailor each lesson to your individual goals, ensuring you feel confident and motivated every step of the way.
